Overall what was discussed in this particular part of the chapter would be the various amounts of commerce and types of labor in which each type of nation was participating in. The main countries participating in trade and the exportation of large quantities would be the Spanish Empire found in Spanish America, the Portuguese Empire in Brazil and the Caribbean, and the British in North America.
