SND Hand-Out

In the handout assigned, the founding of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur were discussed. The two of foundress's were Julie Billiart and Francoise Blin de Bourdon. Both coming from drastically different childhoods they managed to meet and develop a blossoming friendship. As they became closer they discovered that both of there lives revolved around a desire for mission and spiritual engagement. Therefore the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur were founded in February of 1804; where the hallmarks are the highlight for mission and spiritual engagement.
